Placing Orders

This stock trading question comes from Ben B. who asks:

“My broker doesn’t allow me to place orders for the opening or closing auction. What should I do?”

It sounds like you may be using a CFD provider. Many CFD providers are not members of the ASX and therefore cannot access that facility. You can ask your provider if they have an order type that will allow you to enter a trade right on the opening of normal trading, else you may need to do that manually which is cumbersome.

However, at the end of the day you need to take responsibility:

Event + Response = Outcome

If the desired outcome is not being met then you need to change your response to the problem, i.e. change broker to one such as SelfWealth that can allow participation in the auctions.
