I had no issues on Friday.

There was a TWS wide issue earlier in the week where some MOC orders were cancelled.

You can hold a cash security such as a bond ETF, and this can be included in your system code as well. My research tends to lean toward longer-term bonds, such as the $TLT in the US.

I did do a video on this somewhere…I’ll need to dig it out.

Basically, I use STT only to store trade data for each portfolio. I keep separate sheets for higher volume portfolios to enhance speed. All longer term portfolios, or low volume portfolios stay in a single sheet with separate portfolios.

At the end of each month I record the net ending balance from STT, add it to the following spreadsheet (link below) and subtract prior months. This provides me a net profit for the month, and the correct formulation to account for deposits and withdrawals which STT can’t do.

I found a coding error in the ASX ETF strategy that I was unable to resolve. Performance of that strategy was mediocre and I was simply trying to park funds in a more diverse strategy. I’ll allocate those elsewhere in the coming months.

ASX trend systems continue to get chopped around in this sideways range. Really is a stock pickers market at the moment.

This past month I’ve been working hard on position sizing with the MOC strategy and feel I’ve come up with a formula that should boost returns. Early signs are promising.

Great news Taranveer. Interesting culture. Unfortunately I’ve not been in an institutional environment for 15+ years (thankfully) but I certainly couldn’t think of ever working for anyone else anymore.
