ASX100 Rot +1.22%
WTT -5.55%USD
NDX100 Rot – 3.94%
RUI Rot +2.18%
MR3000 -4.06%A pretty slow month, but in the end was much better than what the middle of the month suggested it could have been.
Introduced an MR strategy on the R3000 this month. Still working out how best to systematize it, but so far so good. Did have one slight hiccup, where after a very very long lunch, I was in no state to place my trades in the evening. Thankfully the market went up and I actually made money. Lesson learnt always place trades in the morning :0
Happy trading!
GLENNPREECEMemberHi Howard, I found similar issues with the R1000…has quite high returns, but the drawdowns were lumpy. Still went ahead, but just have put less cash towards it to reduce risk… If you’re looking for an idea, I have been working on a rotational strategy applied across multiple large cap indices, e.g. NDX, DJ, S&P, RUI, and even ASX, etc…showed some promising results…

ASX
ASX100 Rot: +12.61%
WTT: +24.85%US
NDX100 Rot +12.44%
RUI1K ROT +9.69%Good bounce back month, recovering a lot of the drawdown suffered in Feb / March. WTT was the strongest performer of all systems with a near 25% uplift thanks mainly to two stocks – EM2 and MAI.
Kicked off a new monthly rotational on the RUI and continued to paper trade an MR strategy on the R3000. I’m now more comfortable with it, how to manage and implement the system and will start live trading it this month.
Aside from all that…my biggest news is that the family and I have decided to relocate back to Sydney from Singapore. Timing still unclear but likely early 4th Quarter. For those in Sydney love to catch up for a beer or 3 at some point.
Take care all and happy trading..
Cheers

ASX
ASX100 Rot: –4.24%
WTT: -0.76%US
NDX100 Rot -15.19%Sorry all, catching up on couple of months… As you can see, the rotational systems have taken a bit of a hit in March with a sea of red, but it is what it is… I’ve had such a stella run since starting last October, it was almost a relief (almost….) and brought a dose of reality that these systems are prone to drops… NDX this month took a big nosedive and probably reached my expected max sys DD at one point, before recovering.
The upside is that it has helped to me to focus again on whether I should be introducing more diversity to my portfolio. I will be introducing an RUI rotational system this month, but I’m toying with an MOC system again…if I can just make the commitment to implement it every day…still my biggest challenge.
Anyway, happy trading all.
GLENNPREECEMemberHi All,
January 2021 Results
NDX100 MRot +18.70%
ASX100 MRot +29.05%
ASX – WTT +2.59%As mentioned last month, I started beta testing an MR strategy. I decided however to park this as it just doesn’t fit my profile / lifestyle at present. Whilst it didn’t require huge time commitment, I found I wasn’t wiling to commit the time to run and executing trades daily. Maybe when I have more time in my life I will relook at it, but for now I’m going to stick to my weekly and monthly systems, which have so far been performing pretty well.
Cheers
Glenn
Happy trading!
GLENNPREECEMemberHi All,
Thank you all so much for the comments and support. November was a great start for me and off the back of this I implemented two new systems, namely another monthly rotational on the ASX100 and a WTT on the ASX market.
The results for December were mixed:
NDX100 MRot -3.18%
ASX100 MRot +18.70
ASX – WTT -0.11%Overall performance across all systems for 2020 +22.4%.
NDX system took a hit with MRNA’s drop from fame, but this was largely offset by the gains in PDD & TSLA. After speaking to Nick I’m now looking at splitting this system into a monthly / weekly to mitigate some of the signal luck.
APT and FMG were stand out performers in the ASX rotational an accounted for most of the gains.
I only started the WTT in mid December and it went straight into a -7% drawdown It recovered nicely due to ABR and recouped almost all of the losses.
I’m now exploring MR strategies on the R1000 & R2000. Will look to implement those at some point in the new year, once I get comfortable in their implementation and execution.
Quick question for anyone who has implemented rotational strategies. Have you explored markets outside of the USA & Australia? I understand that getting access to good historical data is an issue but would be interested to hear from anyone who has looked at markets like UK or Europe.
Ironically my trading strategies have worked out well, unlike my strategy to leave Singapore and holiday in the norther beaches of Sydney for the summer. opps…
Anyway all the best for the year ahead guys and girls. Enjoy the ride whatever happens and wherever it takes us.
Happy trading.
Cheers
Glenn
