Thanks for your efforts Said. Just started using your excel trade importer.

If only I had an easier way to import trades from my other broker platform into share trade tracker for my discretionary trading portfolio. Makes you really appreciate the ease of use with your file.

Hey Said. Be great if you can but the IG Markets reports are quite a bit different.

I have attached two reports.

The first one is a P & L breakdown which only shows buys and sells combined in the one row.

The second one is a transaction report which shows buys and sells separately. Although it may be a bit hard to generate profit and loss from the trades as the trades are CFD’s for currencies, commodities and indexes etc. So they show lot sizes for the quantity/size column and lot sizes vary between trading instruments.
Stop loss amendments are also show which are obviously irrelevant.

I believe the Order history file will be enough

Normally Share tracker is getting the information from yahoo finance and it is doing this with two pieces of information
the Instrument name and the instrument suffix
I can get the instrument name from Market but i do not know how the yahoo finance for each instrument looks like to get the suffix for it

for example if there is a stock ABC in the ASX then it should look like this ABC.AX (share) so that the Share Tracker can pull its information from Yahoo finance.
so the .AX is the suffix that i am talking about and it is getting it from the Exchange field and the ABC is the stock symbol

One more thing I believe that Share Tracker works only on stocks

OK no dramas if it is too tricky and doesn’t really sync well due to the trading instruments being currencies and CFD’s of futures etc.

My Bad

I found out now that Share Trade Tracker supports ETF/CFD/Futures

I will add these to the file when i have some time
