HI
here is a simple way to import today’s trades from TWS trade Log to Share Tracker
First you go to TWS Trade Log and export today’s trades as in the snapshot bellow
then you open the attached excel file you enter the portfolio name it should be the same as the one created in Share tracker and then you push the button.
it will ask you to point to the file that you extracted from TWS in step one after that it will make it in the same format as required in Share tracker so you copy and paste the results.feel free to ask if any questions or modifications are required

March 31, 2016 at 4:40 am #103467TrentRothallParticipantHi Said
Looks great, i am running into an issue where IB has bought the shares in multiple smaller transactions. (see attachment) then once it is exported to your spread sheet, it shows as multiple trades also the comms are a bit different, any idea on how i can resole this issue?
March 31, 2016 at 7:10 am #103478SaidBitarMemberHi Trent I will solve it today for me when I extract them to csv file they are added up in one.
Anyhow I will add conditions incase they are not added up
March 31, 2016 at 10:27 am #103479SaidBitarMemberTrent can you try to export without expanding i mean without hitting the + sign
i think it will workanother thing with the export it will not extract the commission so for the US market i calculated in excel
Entry commission is Max(1,0.005*Number of Shares)
Exit Commission is Max(1,0.005*Number of Shares) + 0.09If you will tell me the commissions for the AUS market i will add it as option
thanks
March 31, 2016 at 10:50 am #103468TrentRothallParticipantOk thanks, i exported the files without expanding but it’s still the same.
commissions are easy enough to enter, but in Aus they are min $6 or 0.08% of trade value
March 31, 2016 at 11:16 am #103481GeorgeBaiyaMemberHi Trent, may I ask who you are using to get $6 per trade?
March 31, 2016 at 11:18 am #103482SaidBitarMemberTest this one
i added part where you can select US/AUS market for commissions
also i removed the duplicatesMarch 31, 2016 at 9:57 pm #103469Nick RadgeKeymasterQuote:Hi Trent, may I ask who you are using to get $6 per trade?Susann,
Interactive Brokers is $6 minimum or 0.08% for ASX trading.I have been asked to do a quick video on using the Interactive Broker platform (TWS) by Chartist members. I can place that in here as well for reference.

April 4, 2016 at 7:40 am #103470TrentRothallParticipantHi Said
Sorry to be a pain, but i ran into another error. I thought i would test the spread sheet again and this error popped up
i clcked Debug and this was the next screen.
Today’s trade was only 1 buy with no expansions to it, so a single transaction
April 4, 2016 at 7:43 am #103511SaidBitarMemberMy bad I forgot to add condition for only one buy or only one sell, this is why the error.
I will send updated one later todayThanks
April 4, 2016 at 7:44 am #103512TrentRothallParticipantNo rush, just thought i’d let you know.
Thanks
April 7, 2016 at 5:56 pm #103513SaidBitarMemberSorry totally forgot about it
attached is the updated file
thanks for the feedback
April 18, 2016 at 3:38 pm #103532SaidBitarMemberI updated the TWS to Share Tracker file
here are the updates they are for US trades only since they are not applicable for AUS trades
adding 0.5% maximum per order
0.0000218 * Trade exit cost transaction feesRegarding Share Tracker i started to use it for the first time on the weekend, it is nice file. I did a web application that is doing almost the same it took more than three months and still some work to be done from time to time.
What i like in the Share Tracker is how it collects dividends, creates VAMI and how it generates reports.
