upgrade?
November 10, 2017 at 4:28 pm #107970SaidBitarMemberTo get the latest version you need to receive a link to download it from XLautomation.
i honestly received it and tested it the first version as Nick mentioned was pulling the quotes one by one from yahoo it will make you cry sitting 30 minutes waiting for it to finish and will prompt you to take some actions regarding the symbols that are delisted. then the second version came with updates for open positions only but it had some problems and Scott was saying that they will fix it.regarding using Norgate, the issue with it i am not sure that you can read Amibroker database from Excel maybe the best option is to export Amibroker database to a database that will host everything and then you can pull data directly from it in this case you can pull all in one hit since you have no limitations. and this database should be hosted on a server so that all the excel files can access.
But if you already went this road you will end up building your own customised reports and tracking that will be same as the best ones in the market.
back to Norgate data unless they will provide easier way for them to pull data out it will be real tough
November 10, 2017 at 5:06 pm #107971SaidBitarMemberanother thing i forgot to mention is that with premium data the data come a bit late so if you update your files directly after the close this will not work
November 10, 2017 at 6:36 pm #107972LEONARDZIRParticipantSaid,
Are you talking about the fix to v2 or did you download v3?November 10, 2017 at 8:13 pm #107973Nick RadgeKeymasterJust take a step back everyone.
v3 has been around for awhile but it comes with a recurring fee which is why its not offered to members. v3 is suffering the same glitches as v2 and are being fixed this weekend. When those fixes are complete I will send all members instructions on how to upgrade their existing v2 to the newer v3.
There will be no cost for members to upgrade to v3.
November 13, 2017 at 1:31 am #107974JulianCohenParticipantNick I upgraded to STT3 today and just want to say a HUGE thank you for sorting this out for us. I love the fact there are two data sources. There’s a couple of things that are different but I’ll work a way through them. Overall I’m very happy and very grateful

December 2, 2017 at 11:34 am #107931ScottMcNabParticipantSomething new….I have a stock for which google/STT has not picked up the current price…best left alone to see if it corrects over the next few days/weeks (monthly rotation system) or should I use the missing security function to manually change ? Anyone had experience with this ?
CheersDecember 2, 2017 at 11:54 am #108136AnonymousInactiveScott, I’ve started seeing this in last week or so too. Had a few with no price, and also a couple with wrong price – like totally wrong! ($1 vs $29) I’ve filed a support request on STT.
Might pay to check carefully if you use open trades price for position sizing etc, the data in Yahoo/Google has the correct price, something’s just going awry in the transfer to STT?
December 2, 2017 at 5:42 pm #108137SaidBitarMemberI use the data source as yahoo not google this solved the problem of wrong prices and ticker not found
Give it a try
December 2, 2017 at 8:53 pm #108139ScottMcNabParticipantThanks Kerry and Said. It did fix it Said.
CheersDecember 3, 2017 at 4:37 am #108140AnonymousInactiveSaid Thanks! I thought It would automatically check both if errors. This has fixed the issue now. Cheers!
February 22, 2018 at 11:35 pm #108146AnonymousInactiveAnyone else had the issue of STT importing incorrect prices as of last few days?
I have different STT files for each system and all have had the issue. Price is right on Yahoo/Google but price imported is totally out?

yes I have. No offence intended but I thought it was just me. I’m in discussions with Scott at XL about it at present.

Kerry maybe you want to lodge a ticket with Scott too as I sent him my spreadsheet and it opened fine for him.
I sent him a screenshot of my issue but maybe if you also talk to him he can work out what is going on.
Where are you logging in from? I’m in Thailand. At the moment. From my vast experience of software problems (irony) im thinking it is something weird with my internet connection. However I tried a VPN and set it to Sydney and got the same problem.
