Honestly it is a very long story, in short i got really tired from updating several excel files, STT is good but i can not see the day to day variation so i had another excel file for this stuff the files are automated but still mistakes in the entries from time to time weird figures and this stuff.
So i decided to make one software that will do all of this stuff by itself as well as adding dividends automatically, modifications for splits generating reports and for sure dashboard that i can drill down, showing what to trade and what sectors to avoid, benchmarking, merging all the systems together to get the total performance to do whatever i think is need. After i finished the software i said it is similar to the excel files from the point of view that i can only access it when i am on my pc, so i re done the whole thing to be web application then started adding some features to it and it evolved.currently it is almost done around 90% still i have some parts in the reporting section (i want to generate similar reports as IB) and also i want to add currency conversion so in case you have one portfolio in EUR or AUD and you want to see its performance with another one that is in USD it will convert them to the same currency.
recently since the cost of running it started to increase i decided to change to a product.
I am more than glad to share it with all of you so we can benefit from it and at the same time if anyone has any comments or ideas i will be glad to add it
