The market not only slaughtered my accounts last night but sent me back to the levels where I was in 2016.
I was complaining that March was bad month but now it became disastrous one
March 22, 2017 at 1:07 am #106430TrentRothallParticipantOuch! Are you running 4:1 leverage in your MOC Said?

Me too mate. I’m running two MOC systems with 4:1 leverage and I dropped 7% last night in one day.
Could come back today though…or get hammered again. Either way I’m placing orders
March 22, 2017 at 5:58 am #106436JulianCohenParticipantThere is one bonus…don’t have to bother manually entering all the sell trades from my systems as NOTHING made a higher high

On one account I am running inter/intra day MRV and the other account normally I am running ASX MRV and one US MOC but due to the fact that I didn’t have many open trades on the ASX MRV I put trades for another US MOC strategy. The action yesterday was a bit different from the previous months since all the decline happened during the day and not before the open.
Anyhow the systems will recover lots of trust in them
Placed my trades and moving forwardMarch 22, 2017 at 10:44 am #106439SaidBitarMemberJulian Cohen wrote:There is one bonus…don’t have to bother manually entering all the sell trades from my systems as NOTHING made a higher highExactly
March 29, 2017 at 10:10 am #106448SaidBitarMemberI listened to the group call last night totally forgot about it
I think i have similar issue with Julian (if i remember correctly) regarding multiple currencies in the same account.
regarding share tracker i use it to see the performance of the system if it is making money or losing money but my headache is in TWS since my base currency is USD and i am using the same accounts to trade MRV on ASX and US market. So whenever i am buying ASX stocks i am buying them in AUD and when I sell them the money is back in USD and only the Profit/Loss remains in AUD and once per month i am converting it to USD.
I did not check the effect of doing this on my account especially when the USD/AUD is a bit volatile or may be it would be better idea if i change some of the money from USD to AUD and use only these to trade the ASX but this will make another issue is that some days there are no trades in the ASX and the money will be there while i can use them in the US marketAm I alone making this mess with my accounts ??
March 31, 2017 at 3:47 am #106486JulianCohenParticipantNope I have the same.
So I have a separate spreadsheet that keeps track of the exchange rate and tells me what equity to use for each day’s account balance as STT doesn’t do this either. It only shows the P/L and the starting balance, but if you add funds to the account it doean’t show this. Also I’m pretty sure the VAMI is incorrect on STT so I use my own spreadsheet for that figure.
April 2, 2017 at 10:01 am #106502SaidBitarMemberMarch 2017
ASX MRV1 = -1.86%
ASX MRV2 = -3.52%
ASX MOC = -0.48% (Started in March)US MRV = -4.82%
US MOC1 = 1.14%
US MOC2 = -4.4%
US WTT = -1.39% (based on Closed positions) & -2.53% (based on Open and Closed positions)total -3.29%
April 2, 2017 at 10:16 am #106512JulianCohenParticipantSaid what do you use for the KPI stats…and what does KPI stand for?
April 2, 2017 at 12:49 pm #106513LeeDanelloParticipantKey Performance Indicators
April 2, 2017 at 3:56 pm #106514SaidBitarMemberhahahaha
exactly key performance indicators, it is technical term used in telecom to measure the performance of the mobile networks.
in order to get these stats this what i am doing
everyday i log in the value of each account and i sum them together from there i can get the rate of change with the previous day and also i can check if it is winning day or losing day
also i check what is the distance percentage wise from the highest equity high that i had in order to check the draw down.
so the excel sheet has the following columns:
Date | Equity | ROC % | ROC $ | Equity High | DD %April 2, 2017 at 11:00 pm #106515LeeDanelloParticipantI like your graphs very much. A picture paints a thousand words.
April 3, 2017 at 1:16 am #106516JulianCohenParticipantOK so you do it all in Excel. Cheers I’ll get on to it this week.
