Attention: PDU Alpha Testers

The commercial release of our new data updating platform is planned for mid-2017, and as such we are now ending the alpha testing program for PDU and moving into the beta testing phase with the next version of the platform, “NDU”.

An overview of the beta testing program, along with instructions on how to formally request participation (should you wish to be involved), can be found here:

Please Note:

– your PDU alpha testing account will be deactivated on the 14th of February.
– this email is being sent out in batches to all PDU alpha testers over the next week or so.
– PDU will be completely decommissioned by the end of February.

I sent them the email to move things along a little.

This seems to be a lot faster than you originally thought in the chat. To continue to receive regular EOD data while the NDU is being run out, what exactly should we do?

i checked the description of the changes in Norgate website and the recordings from the group call the NDU sounds like a very good idea the only problem is that they are on rush
but from what i understood there should be some changes in the code

#include_once “FormulasNorgate DataNorgate Data Functions.afl”
this one should be on top of each afl it is reference to their funtions

instead of isindexconstituent now it is NorgateIndexConstituentTimeSeries

we can not use OI any more i think it should be oc = NorgateOriginalCloseTimeSeries();
turnover is added in AUX1
and dividends are added in AUX2

interesting stuff just they need to provide some time to play with it before switching to it

Would it be possible to include in the welcome sections which modules/lessons have been changed by the NDU please ?

Scott, the problem is that the changes for that specific part are quite broad and impact many sections. I’ll speak with Craig when he returns to summarise.

Would it be possible to post an update to a template with all the new code in place as it would be easy to work out what sections I need to change.

Scott I used Said’s advice above and found changes to the following sections:

Module 11/27, Lesson 2/5 Price Filters
Bottom of Module 18/27, Lesson 3/6 Historical Constituents

This seems to have the main bits that we need to change, but a full template with the relevant code changes would be really helpful to double check our work

Also need to tweak the turnover filter too. I don’t think that’s been changed yet
