Just an observation.
Have made a lot of money in the US markets since the March lows last year primarily because of long relative strength/momentum systems. Starting to get really nervous. Lots of speculation in low priced stocks. Nick’s hedge tool in TLT signals high risk. Now the market is starting to sell off at the end of the day.
I don’t really have a system that defines exits based on my intuition so will follow the rules of my systems. But nervously. Hopefully I will have the fortitude to follow my rules if we get a serious correction.

Scott Goddard reviewed the S&P500 in the GLOBAL MARKETS CHART RESEARCH on The Chartist website last night…. I might be incorrect but I think it’s the first time I’ve heard the term/phrase “Grand Supercycle” (in reference to Elliot Wave theory) used in a chart review….. Sounded ‘nice’ to my ears at least. … Check out the review/video if you haven’t already done so.

Ultimately it comes back to playing the ‘long game’, Next1000Trades and following/trusting the process, there will bumps along the way, but Nick has been mentioning “Secular Bull Market” for sometime now and the Elliot Wave theory is ‘singing the same tune’.

Not a big fan of Elliot Wave theory.
In any case for me the biggest obstacle to system trading is the emotional aspects of system drawdowns. The biggest progress I’ve made in belonging to the mentor program is learning to live with drawdowns in my account. Figuring out the systems to trade was the easiest part.
If you want to see the emotional toll of losing money with a system, check out Mike Rodwell’s posts. He’s shown a great deal of courage in sharing his experience and an inspiring restart to his trading. I have a lot of respect for Mike. I know where he is coming from.
