Introduction – Drew from Brisbane

Hi All,

I’m Nick and Craig’s latest [strike]victim[/strike] [strike]experiment[/strike] mentoree. Today is the first day of my 6 month transformation, and I’m excited to be on board.

I live in Brisbane with my wife and 3 primary school aged kids. Family means the world to me and I’m never as happy as when I’m with them.

I’m a 47 year old IT dinosaur according to my daughter, which pretty accurate. I have mustered up all the long service and annual leave I can find to take six and a half months off, and hopefully change the direction of my life forever.

My passions are sport (running, cricket and rugby), coaching kids sport, drawing and painting, excel spreadsheets (yes still a geek at heart), and designing solutions.

I’m looking forward to launching into the course and getting to know you all over the coming years.

Hi Drew,

Long service leave and annual leave definitely help, if You want to make most of this course otherwise is to much if You have a busy life.
I am not quite sure yet, but the course looks to me is just preparation to the deep dive in the rabbit hole, and after that is a never ending story.

Thanks Tomas – yes, I’ve been planning this for over a year, and usually the second half of the year is much quieter for me than the first, but that does not seem to be the case this week! Best laid plans. It should ease off soon though. Thanks for the kind words and advice.
