IB MOC on Weekly System

I’m slowly figuring out how to exit positions at close of business on a Friday – with no help from IB.

Firstly you need to add the “Start Time” column to TWS.

Then, to close an existing position, 
1. choose a time within the closing auction, i.e. 4.01 to 4.09 on the date you wish to close (see note below)
2. use “ASX” as routing as opposed to SMART
3. use “LOC” order type and set a limit below the market

Now, the issue I have found is that the above can be placed on the day of exit, i.e. anytime during the Friday session. I can’t work out how to place it as a GTC…will keep on it.

Does the fact that you’re looking at mechanics mean that this approach has met all of your requirements in back testing?

Nice stats Nick!

Given this system (I guess) will have average trade length of roughly 3 days and buy when ‘oversold’, does it have much correlation with your MR systems?

No doubt you’ll solve the order processing technology issues, but even if you had to do it manually, you’re just cancelling some orders and entering some MOC sales each Friday?

I recall you telling me once that you weren’t creative…I’m not sure I believe you after seeing this!
