Hello all!
I’ve just joined the Trading System Mentor course. By way of introduction, my name is Kim. I’m 39, married and have a 2 y.o. daughter. Live in Melbourne. I work as a project manager – currently at the Bureau of Meteorology. Although I love my job, I also love share trading.
Have been trading on and off for the last 15 years. Have tried margin lending and CFDs and have been burnt a few times. Luckily my account was relatively small in the early years. I was one of those people who wanted to get rich quickly from trading. 😆
About 10 yrs ago, I decided to manage my own super and invested in shares. Since I knew I couldn’t touch the super money until retirement, I took a longer term view to trading. I realised this slower investing style suited my lifestyle and temperaments much better. So I was able to achieve some good returns on my trading account most years (20-25%). But sometimes I didn’t look at my portfolio for many months, so it was basically a buy & hold approach. I want to take a more active approach and manage my trades more deliberately.
My trading vision is to become a disciplined, consistent and profitable share trader, and I think this course can help me achieve that.
I’m looking forward to learning the course content and from everyone’s experiences, and also sharing ideas in this forum.
Cheers,
Kim
