The mentor course is designed to have unlimited access to Craig and I for personal one-on-one mentoring.
The question I have is what would you pay for the course information WITHOUT:
– the personal mentoring
– the forum
– the monthly callor in other words, JUST the information within the LMS so it becomes a Self Study version.
Appreciate some feedback.
Thanks

There are probably many “quants” that have the knowledge of coding but don’t know or understand subjects like selection bias or any of the other little intricacies that make up the second section of the course. Why not offer the second part to people that want to trade better but already know how to code.
There’s plenty of courses teaching people to trade but they don’t teach how to correctly back test or why this system that produces results of 35% CAGR will never work in reality.
I’m not entirely sure that the course would work without some feedback from the mentors. Otherwise it’s effectively a trading book and those are for sale at $59.99 or whatever those books are going for nowadays in Dymocks

This in turn required much of Craig’s time (coding) in the first half and a lot of Nick’s time (API/market order types and structure/VPS etc) in the second half. Without the input from the mentors I would not be trading. I would have gained knowledge but not enough to actually trade a system live. So without the mentors…it would be on the shelf with Howard Bandys books..interesting but not a game changer…with the mentors then those thousands of dollars become the best investment I have made to date.
I am trying to say that I think the mentor’s input makes all the difference in a course such as this.

However the LMS has value.
I could see a product where you sell the LMS as a standalone product and provide consulting . The forum and group calls could be a subscription service.April 9, 2017 at 2:10 am #106588LeeDanelloParticipantI would pay 5k – 2.5k (Amibroker Coding) + 2.5k (Trading Course)
The clincher for me would be to walk away from the course with a system that is tradeable.
A lot of courses provide lots of information, but don’t provide the framework to use that information in trading.April 9, 2017 at 10:51 am #106589AnonymousInactivePretty much the same answers as the others. Although the LMS is useful and the foundation to continue, the value is the access to the experience of you and Craig and the ongoing support in the forum.
What would I pay? With hindsight it makes it difficult to answer and I am not sure if it would appeal to me without mentoring, but everyones goals and objectives are different.
April 9, 2017 at 9:55 pm #106592Nick RadgeKeymasterThanks everyone – appreciate the feedback. We designed the project around the mentoring to specifically differentiate ourselves and that’s clearly the main benefit coming across. We’ll stay with that…
We have considered a membership option for ongoing mentoring/forum/monthly call. Still under consideration.

I’d be up for that.
April 11, 2017 at 6:55 pm #106596LEONARDZIRParticipantI would also be interested in ongoing mentoring.
May 23, 2017 at 1:22 pm #106590RobGilesMemberNot quite half way through the course, but for me, I wouldn’t have done it without the mentoring aspect. The amount I’m learning, especially through the emails and skype calls, is where a huge part of the value is at for me.
