Fundamentals with AFL

Anyone got any experience with using Getfndata or the Norgate function for accessing fundamental data?

I’m trying to use beta but I can’t Get it to display beta for each day. It just generates one number which I assume is the last day’s beta.

Where are you getting beta from?

Norgate provides it, or so it says in their blurb

Norgate’s fundamental data is not historical and many fields will only hold the last value, such as beta. Click through a chart while watching beta value in the info window for a visual.

Thanks Craig. I did that and that’s what made me think this was the case, just wanted to check I wasn’t doing anything silly….like usual

i believe it is easier to calculate it by yourself as Craig mentioned it is not historical data.

I imagine the calculation is ROC(stock)/ROC(index) but it should be on longer duration not sure about the equation but this is how i think beta is

Good idea! Actually even if the equation isn’t exact, that equation is a good start for an idea to test. Thanks
