In case happens to anyone else…….

STT wasn’t updating prices this morning
API test showed API key no longer valid
emailed EOD and they said issue was due to migration of data to new server and they fixed api key

Are you guys both using EOD data. I am having an issue with the STT updating prices and ticker names still. I am using Yahoo and Google though… seems to still be an issue with STT

As per the other thread, apparently Google and Yahoo have reviewed their security protocols making it difficult to access their data.

Contact STT directly for advice.

I’ve been in contact with Norgate and they’ll soon be providing a web API interface for NDU users.

Yes that would be great. Seems criminal to be forced to buy data from Norgate and EOD just to get the same data. Thanks Nick.

Well, I think criminal is a stretch…

They’re different companies offering different products…and $19.95 a month isn’t exactly debilitating. You could always do it manually….

Bit the bullet and purchased the EOD data source. Works well, but just one thing – despite the website saying its $19.95AUD, they’ll charge you $19.95USD. Contacted them and they said yep it’s now USD! Makes it pretty expensive just for the smallish number of trades on STT. Have asked XL automation if they could just unprotect the current price cell to allow for direct data entry – hopefully they can!

As in the current price? How do you do that? Ive tried and couldn’t get it to work. Can save the entire STT as an open sheet but then the cell’s formulas don’t work?
