Code to exclude a specific stock ticker

I’m hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction with code to exclude a specific stock ticker?

I’d like to use this code in a system I’m currently back testing, as this particular stock is providing, perhaps, returns which are too good to be true in the back test period (I’ve managed to exclude using price filters, but would like to see if that’s causing me to miss other signals…hence the question).

Lee,
it’s very simple and doesn’t require any adjustment to your code. Here’s how:

(1) In AmiBroker set up a new watchlist and call it ExcludeList or something else.

(2) Type in any symbol(s) you wish to exclude into that watchlist.

(3) In the Filter box where you normally select the universe, use the Exclude tab at the top and use your new watchlist therein.

Now run your normal backtest and any stocks in that new watchlist will be excluded.

The way that Nick provided is the best way and it is what i use when i need to but just for the sake of diversity you can exclude the stock in the code by using the following:
