Hi everyone. I’m Anthony, I am a Mexican-American from Los Angeles, California. I’m excited to be joining this community and look forward to interacting with everyone here.

I have been trading since 2017. At the time I found out about trading from some coworkers who were using Robinhood to get in and out of $DIS. I joined Robinhood soon after and started trading my first account. I made some money and lost some money. I started with $3,000, so there wasn’t a huge amount at risk. In hopes of becoming a better trade I took my first course which kind of gave me the intro to technical analysis and I opened a paper trading account — I was going to become a day trading star and make millions!

Fast forward to the last few months of 2020 and I really didn’t have a solid strategy I felt confident in putting real money behind. For nearly three years I was pretty much spinning my tires. I was mostly swing trading, but didn’t have an edge or an understanding of risk management.

Earlier on in 2020 among the handful of books I read were Weekend Trend Trader and Unholy Grails. I remember enjoying both of these books and thinking “wow, this seems straight forward”. Whether it was a book, a podcast, Twitter, or a weekly newsletter Nick’s message resonated with me. Everyday I work to embody the spirit of “next 1000 trades”. In trading and in life. Fast forward a little more and I’ve done the following:

– Purchased turn-key systems from Nick and the Chartist team
– Traded the Large Cap Momentum turn-key system
– Stopped trading the Large Cap Momentum system
– Signed up for the Chartist Pro and started trading the US Momentum strategy
– Over the next few months I added US HFT, Trade Long Term Premium and at the end of 2021 started trading the ASX Momentum

One of my goals for 2022 was to enroll in and complete the mentorship and I’m grateful to be starting now. I’m prepared to work hard, learn a lot about myself and building trading systems.
