Hello Everyone,

Just dropping in to the Welcome page to say “hello” from sunny Tamworth. I just joined the Mentor Course and am finding my way around, feeling a bit like the new kid at school! I tried to add a profile pic, but couldn’t make it stick.

I’m super excited to begin this journey. It feels like a long winding road that has led me here, but am glad it has.

A successful outcome from this course for me, would be to have the skills to code, test and confidently trade several low frequency trading strategies that will build wealth through time. As a Research Scientist I want empirical evidence that these strategies are robust. Hopefully, my grounding in the scientific method will help me reach this outcome.

By the by, I also am a keen student of tennis. I take a lot of confidence in the knowledge that the world’s number 1 player only wins ~52-53% of points they play in a year. Rafa Nadal has absolutely dominated Roland Garros by winning ~55% of points he has played. I see a parallel with trading, and I’ll absolutely take a W:L of 52-53% and a profit factor >3.
