Can anyone tell me if there is anything that needs to happen in RT to deal with yesterday being closed?

I ran orders yesterday (based on 22/11 latest bar) and they worked, but today I’m not getting any…

Did you work out the asterisk in the holiday list file means a half day

Hi Julian,

No, I didn’t really work out anything, although I got to the right result eventually.

I fiddled with the dates and used the actual date (i.e. 22/11) rather than ‘latest”, so I got the orders to generate.
Then I manually modified the .csv files myself to change the end time to 12.40pm.

This is my first experience of RT where I reckon it isn’t done very well. I’d have thought it would just use the most recent bar to generate the orders, but I guess if it was that easy it would already be fixed by now…

Have you looked at the Holiday List? That is what sets a particular date as a holiday so RT knows not to issue orders for that date. Once you have that in place for your operation scripts (the script that issues the orders) everything should work fine without any changing of dates in settings

Unlike AB, RT can run on full automatic, so holidays and partial sessions need to be accounted for.

Thanks for the replies gents.

Does the holidays list apply to the ‘Orders’ function or only to Order Clerk (which I’m not yet using)?

How is the list maintained, does it need to be manually updated?

It can be used for both. For example, when I did my MOC orders after Wednesday’s close, it knew that (a) it was a public holiday on Thurs, and (b) a half session on Fri. So even though I placed the orders pre-Thursday, it auto-calculated to cancel on Friday 20 minutes before the early close time.
