I am in the process of coding up a WTT in RealTest and it has thrown up something that I had not thought of before.
When you trade your WTT, do you place a stop loss order in the market for each stock and then change it each week, or do you check at the end of each week and see which stocks have gone through their stop loss point and then exit them on Monday?
I don’t think Amibroker gives you a choice but RT does and I had not thought of it before. So for those of you actually trading a WTT, which way do you do it? The first way may give more whipsaws, the second way may give the occasional bigger loss.
Edit: It has now been pointed out to me that the book says to use the second method…I haven’t read it is a long time, obviously
However the interesting thing is I am getting better results with the first method.
