IB System Failure 7/12/20

FYI

Looks like IB had a significant system failure overnight, which is still not 100% fully resolved. They are still working on the issue. I can’t login/reconnect atm.

It failed prior to market open…I’m not sure if any of my orders hit the market ir not.

I did hear about that but all my orders processed as normal.

I know they do have a backup which kicked in.

I place my orders around this time each day….mine worked correctly last night. But I imagine for US based traders it was a shitty day of admin failures

Yep… just logged in and checked… My trades processed OK and are in SYNC with my backtest. All Good here.

I had this problem, it was for all the accounts in Europe because they recently moved their servers from UK to somewhere else.
i think the outage was partially restored one hour before the close, at least for me this is the time when i was able to connect

confirmed it happened in europe. basically got filled 15 min after the open. impact was negligible for a weekly system.

same here – , based in the UK and orders were filled around 09:45 ET for me

UPDATE: 11/12

FYI: Just a heads up in case you’re having any issues with IB atm prior to market open.

Looks like IB are having more issues atm… I just saw this Bulletin in TWS.

I logged on earlier this afternoon and all ‘seemed’ OK then.
