There is a link in the Bulletins section of the NDU updater regarding the forthcoming commercial release for those who may not have noticed it.

Thanks for the heads up Craig. I noticed as per the bulletin, that the new data program will not support historical index constituents. Have you heard anything on if Norgate plans to support hist. constituents in any way going forward? Seems without the hist constituents, any backtesting we do using index universes will be severely compromised.

The table in the link is just an example. Norgate will have several subscription choices with historical constituents as an option.

Have you guys had a chance to look at the new NDU beta release?

Does anyone happen to know if we need to make any coding changes to make it work?

Its a soft launch at his stage. I’ll check on any coding changes but I don’t believe so from our perspective.

Hmm..tempting to go diamond for US in first year while have 50% discount although how relevant data is from 1950 to current systems (esp moc) I am unsure ? For momentum rotational systems may more applicable ?

Has anyone signed-up to Norgate yet?

My current Premiumdata subscription will expire end of August. I will probably signup late July before the 50% discount coupon will expire end July.

I’m not fully clear about the benefits I get from moving to the Norgate. I asked for Norgate Support what the value added would be to move from Premiumdata to Norgate. This was the answer:

“The “value add” for NDU lies in all of the ways its superior to the old Premium Data platform in terns of its software, the additional types of data and information that it can deliver and the data functions it offers, such as user-configurable stock market data, access to historical index constituents etc.”

Daniel – its the exact same product as you’ve been using. They’ve simply rebadged their company to Norgate and repriced the NDU into a public product.

I switched over the other day and it was the easiest thing I have done on a computer. It just worked as they said it would.

I’ve probably jinxed it now but YMMV

I’ve also switched over.

I was only subscribed to the ASX data previously, so having recently joined the Mentor course, it was good timing to grab both ASX & US data @ 50% discount. I then converted my existing PremiumData subscription over to Norgate Data which adds additional days (based on pro rata).
