In light of Trent’s comments on AB crashing and that I am currently looking for new a Internet Security program, I thought I ask here.

I’d be interested to hear of any comments – good bad or ugly – on security / anti virus programs. I have Windows 10.

There seems to be a bit of disparity on the net from consumer comments to product testing & comparison which suggests to me the latter are often mostly likely influenced by the software provider in some way.

I just started using Trend Micro for my security and AB isn’t crashing so that’s a bonus! but that’s about all i can report in the first 12 hours of use :silly:

Craig, I’ve been using Nod32 for about 6 years. One of the old Reefcap members, Mike Park (who has sadly passed on) put me onto this program and I can honestly say – IMHO it’s the best internet antivirus program out there and I’ve used most of them. You don’t notice it running in the back ground and it costs next to nothing. I’ve put a few other people on to it and they’ve never complained.

I use bit defender total security , I believe all softwares are the same when it comes to Internet security, this is why now they are competing on the additional features

i’ve been using Norton Security and it seems fine. no problems with amibroker being adversely affected in any way i have seen.

I’ve been using BitDefender Total Security for many years now. It’s a great one, never had to complain.

Avira had an issue with TWS a few weeks back…TWS suddenly shut down on opening every launch when had worked fine for many weeks….seems fine again now
