Hi Everyone,

My name is Hendrik, and I live on the Gold Coast in Australia with my wife and two primary-school-aged girls. I’ve been calling Australia home since 2004 when I moved from South Africa.

I own and operate a small tourism business on the Gold Coast, which I bought a few years ago. Before that, I was travelling, and before that, I used to work as a Quant Analyst and/or Software Engineer at a large Australian Bank, a market maker and an R&D telco company.

Despite having spent a few years working in the finance industry, I don’t have any experience actually trading.

It has always been a goal of mine to trade my own money systematically. I enrolled in the mentorship to give myself the best possible chance of not screwing up and blowing my account to pieces. Nick’s approach to the market resonates with me, and I hope to learn as much as possible from Nick and Craig and the community.

Please accept my apologies if I ask stupid questions. I promise I’ll answer other newbie’s questions in the forums once I’m up to speed.
